Overview:

Film is a bit of a double edged sword for me. It has been a part of my life for as far back as I can remember. In my early teens I was told I had a ‘good eye’ when I suggested a change to a rough cut my mother was working on. And, in my late teens, I did a digital editing course at Pinewood Studios. But, and it's a big but, it was not the direction I was destined to go in. Until…

… a very important client kept delaying a project involving several films. It was getting costly keeping a production company on hold, so eventually we cancelled. When the client was ready, we bought the equipment and I shot the films.

The double edge! It was cheaper having an in-house guy who did the lot, lighting, shooting, audio and editing, than it was hiring production companies.

Filming took me places I would never have otherwise gone. But I didn’t want to be just the ‘in-house guy’. I love being given a brief and executing it in a way that no one else would have thought of. And yes, I enjoy film.
